From sourcing to the scan in your customer's hand

How IndiTrace works for an online brand: record what you procure, merge it into batches, move it through processing — and let every packet prove its own story.

Chapter 01

Know who you source from

Before a batch exists, the sourcing does. IndiTrace keeps a registry of the farmers and suppliers behind your products — village, crop, acreage, harvest history. When a customer asks "where does this actually come from?", you have the answer on record.

Your supply base on record — every dot a farm, every row a supplier.

Chapter 02

How procured items become a batch

Procure coffee from three farmers on Monday, pepper on Tuesday — each lot arrives with its farmer, plot and harvest date attached. Merge them into one batch, add processing records (roast, grade, pack date), and every hop is anchored on-chain: the record your marketing claims rest on. The trace page lists every source lot that went into the pack your customer buys.

Lots merge into a batch — each keeps its farmer and harvest date.

Chapter 03

Your customer scans

The public trace page needs no login and no app — and it carries your brand. One scan of the QR on the packet and the sourcing story verifies in front of your buyer: which farmers, which lots, which harvest, on-chain proof. Next to it, your Instagram and your shop.

The record

What gets written down

Traceability is not a feature list — it is a ledger. Here is what IndiTrace keeps on record for every batch.

QR traceability
A unique QR on every batch opens the public trace page — the whole journey, no login.
Blockchain anchoring
Every status change is hashed and anchored on Polygon. Tamper-evident, independently verifiable.
Farmer registry
Profiles with land records, geospatial farm mapping and production history.
Custody transfers
Multi-hop shipments with acceptance workflows — every handoff on the record.
Export paperwork
APEDA-aligned reports generated from batch records, not re-typed into templates.
Eco impact
Carbon and water footprint tracked per product, shown right on the trace page.
Multi-party
Farmers, processors, wholesalers and buyers on one connected chain of custody.
Works in the field
PWA built for rural connectivity — offline-tolerant, low-bandwidth.

For online food brands

Your sourcing is your credibility.Show it.

You sell makhana, coffee or spices on Instagram, WhatsApp or your own shop — and your whole pitch is that it's real, direct and farm-sourced. IndiTrace turns that pitch into evidence your customers can check themselves.

How procured items work

  1. 1 · Record what you procure

Log each lot you buy — farmer, quantity, harvest date. Works for one supplier or fifty; the FPO or processor you buy from can record it on their side and share it with you.

  2. 2 · Merge lots into batches

Combine lots into the batch you actually sell — 36 kg of coffee from three farms is one batch with three sources. Processing records (roast, grade, pack date) attach to it.

  3. 3 · Print the QR, sell with proof

Every batch gets a QR code and a public trace page that carries your brand — Instagram, shop link, batch story. "Farm-fresh" stops being a caption and becomes verifiable.

What your customer sees

  • The farmers whose lots went into this pack
  • Village and plot of origin
  • Harvest and processing dates
  • On-chain verification of every step

No app, no login — one scan in any phone browser. The page is public, branded as yours, and every claim on it is backed by a record you control.

Live on every packet you ship

This is the exact page your customer lands on after scanning — steps verify live as the trace loads. It works just as hard in an Instagram story as it does on a shelf: your product, your sourcing, your proof.

Captured from the product — a real batch, a real trace page.
